Trip to "Eremo di Calomini".

  • depart at 09:30 from Le Capanne
  • arrival at Heremitage at 10:30
  • visit to Heremitage
  • lunch time at 12:00

Trekking to "Monte Forato"

Mounth Forato (1223 m. a.s.l.) is formed by twin peaks which are connected by a natural cyclopean arch that has been eroded and weatherworn into the limestone rock. The archway offers a unique sight of the Tyrrhenian coast and there is a superb view of the massif of the Panie from the peak.

Duration: half day.

Difficulties: an easy excursion, but the great difference in level (about 800 metres) makes it suitable for experienced hill walkers.

Advice: wear suitable shoes.

Trekking to "Pania della Croce "

“Pania della Croce” (Croce means Cross) (1858 m. a.s.l.) offers immense view: on clear days it goes from Mt.Amiata to the islands of the Tuscan archipelago, from Corsica to the Maritime Alps and the Bernina glaciers.

Duration: half day.

Difficulties: an easy excursion although some physical effort is required.

Advice: wear suitable shoes.
